Job Summary
The Project Officer will assist in the planning and execution of the NurtureFirst project and
coordinate other partners in various project activities for timely and quality implementation of the
NatureFirst project.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Enhancing working relationships, coordination, and partnership among key stakeholders
for effective project implementation. - Supporting the implementation of the work plan and ensure that quarterly deliverables are
achieved and quarterly progress reports are generated. - Participating in the drafting of the county children’s policy that includes the non-punitive
HBCC improvement roadmap - Working together with mentors of HBCC providers in line with the improvement roadmap
checklist. - Supervising and coordinating all NurtureFirst pilot activities in Murang’a County,
including monthly county working groups and meetings. - Actively participating in the project technical working group and county working group
and take meeting Minutes. - Preparation and submission of monthly reports.
- Ensuring quarterly, monthly, and weekly activity work plans are in place for effective
activity implementation. - Supervising and monitoring project interventions in strict adherence to the Catholic
Diocese of Murang’a, NurtureFirst regulations, and any other agreed standards by CDM. - Any other duty as assigned.
Required Qualifications, skills, and competencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in project management or any other relevant discipline.
- Postgraduate in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in project management or coordination roles.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Good leadership and team player skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address project challenges.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Adaptability and flexibility to handle changing project requirements and priorities.
