To take care of the acts of the CURIA are drawn up, dispatched and that they are kept safe in archive of the curia. (Canon 482).
Other Roles include:
Making available the Church registers promptly. E.g. Baptism Registers Death Registers ,Confirmation Registers and Marriage Registers.
Granting of “Sanatio in Radice” in the name of the Bishop.
Granting of other marriage dispensations as per the law and mandate given to us by the Bishop.
Reception of the marriage certificates and smiting them to the civil registrar’s office in Nairobi.
Advising the Church ministers on pastoral issues as they emerge
Communicating to the Sacred ministers of of relevant legal up-dates from the government of Kenya.
The office the notary involves
Writing acts and documents concerning decrees, arrangements obligations, and other matters which requires their intervention;
Faithfully recording in writing what is done, and signing the document, with a note of the place, the day, the month and the year;
While observing all that be observed, showing acts or documents from the archives to those who lawfully request them, and verifying that copies conform to the original.
